Where is the road leading

Sitting in my bedroom - I gaze through the window and feel I am happy! The world around me seems to be crumbling - every day you see thousands of people loosing jobs, everyday I watch more and more corrupt politicians/beauraucrats breahcing the limits we thought they can go down to, doctors treating patients with Hepatitis infected needles somewhere in India, Islamic militants proving that this is the age of Kali, etc.. Lot of bad things happening. But for me lot of good too -the air outside is cool and clean, I have a family which loves me more than all the wealth in the world, I just saw some episodes from Mahabharata on youtube and my faith in Lord Krishna is stronger, I can move my hands and my legs, I can eat tasty food, I can express myself through a blog! All these good things are there with 90% of you who can read this blog (rest 10% have something else which I might not be having) - but still 90% of the time - 90% of these 90% people are not happy (including myself).

Ignorance is bliss - so is that the root of bliss I am feeling right now? I feel good that right now I am not thinking of whats happening around the world - but even if I do - the verse from Srimadbhagvat Gita -

yada yada hi dharmasya
glanir bhavati bharata
abhyutthanam adharmasya
tadatmanam srjamy aham

(Meaning - Lord Krishna says to Arjuna - Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion--at that time I descend Myself.)

What this means is that if I worry where the world would end up, if I worry what would happen millions of people dying in the world due to hunger, if I worry for foolish extremists killings and torturing thousands - if I think - I should not because there is this Supreme power taking care of that. I should do what my duty is - I should do my duty to do good deeds myself and inspire others to do the same - rest everything would take care of itself.

What my duty is - is defined by spiritual laws . Borrowing from Deepak Chopra's "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" - Law of Giving says that if I want to get something I should give that. If I want to receive money - I need to invest, if I want good health - I should promote good health for others, if I want to have a happy and loving family - I should help others to increase love in their family (by saying this I do not mean we do not need to do hard work, etc. - hard work is necessary but for hard work to bring fruit to you - you need to have the invisible but all prevasive Spiritual World on your side.
